Industry Canada and the Radio Advisory Board of Canada (RABC) recently held a stakeholder meeting initiating a consultation on the department’s TV White Space implementation plan. The meeting featured attendees from both international industry and government. This follows a decision at the end of last year to allow the use of unlicensed devices in TV white spaces.

Industry Canada has outlined a timetable with four parallel technical working groups meeting every other week until the end of the year, at which point the closing documents will be published.
